She’s taken a few days off from co-hosting her morning radio show, due to long days filming BGT auditions.

And on Friday morning’s Heart Breakfast show, Amanda Holden, 50, joked that Simon Cowell, 62, has been ‘rubbish’ at timekeeping whilst filming for the upcoming series of Britain’s Got Talent.

Returning to join Jamie Theakston, 51, on the airwaves, the BGT judge admitted that the music mogul ‘does loads of other things and then he just sorts of potters’ before making it to filming.

Jamie gushed to Amanda: ‘We missed you over the past couple of days!’ after she was absent from the radio show while filming BGT auditions.

Amanda responded: ‘Aw I know! Britain’s Got Talent you see. I can’t do both ends of the day, especially when Mr Simon Cowell’s still is a bad time keeper.’

Jamie said: ‘Now we’ve talked about this in the past. But for maybe those who don’t know, what time are you meant to kick things off?’

Amanda explained: ‘Well we kind of get ready and everyone: me and Alesha and Ant and Dec and everybody are ready at by one. We’re supposed to start around then…

‘Then we don’t normally start until three, then we finish at seven, and then we start the next show. And last night I got home at just before 12 o’clock at night!’

Jamie asked: ‘But what’s Cowell’s timekeeping like?’ to which Amanda admitted: ‘Rubbish!’

Jamie quizzed: ‘He just doesn’t turn up on time?’ which led Amanda to concede: ‘Well no, I mean he’s busy isn’t he?

‘He does loads of other things and then he just sorts of potters I would imagine, I don’t know – a bit of gardening,’ leaving Jamie laughing: ‘Rocks in when he fancies!’

Amanda then revealed that so far, Alesha Dixon is the only just to have not used her golden buzzer to give an act a straight pass through to the semi-finals.

Jamie asked: ‘What about the show? I know you’re in the middle of things, you’ve still got more to do, but do you think you might have found a winner already?’

Amanda gushed: ‘Well yes, my own golden buzzer is unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable. He’s been buzzed!

‘Ant and Dec’s golden buzzer’s incredible as well… Very funny! The only person who is yet to press theirs is Alesha.

‘But the show, it feels really, like it did when we first started. Like people have been rehearsing in their bedroom, which they have for the past 2 years.’

Jamie added: ‘Well I guess they have past couple of years!’ to which Amanda agreed: ‘Exactly!’
