Simon Cowell bowed down to self-taught teenage aerialist Aidan Bryant after he finished his dangerous act on Monday’s episode of America’s Got Talent: All-Stars.
The 63-year-old judge and creator of the worldwide Got Talent format told Aidan, 19, that if his performance was subject to Olympics scoring like gymnastics that he would get a ’10, 10, 10, 10, 10.’
‘I have never, ever, ever on a movie, on this show, anywhere, seen anything so incredible as that and so dangerous and so brilliant and so well-coordinated,’ Simon said. ‘I literally turned around a second ago, and I said, ”Who do you think’s going to win?” I think you’ve just completely changed everything after that performance. Really. That was amazing.’
Aidan, from Prince George, Virginia, was the final performer during the two-hour episode. He dedicated his performance to his grandmother who recently died.
He dangled high above the stage and dazzled the audience with his ability to fly through the air and spin himself seemingly effortlessly without a safety net.
Simon put both his arms in front of him and bowed down to Aidan as the judges gave him a standing ovation.
‘You literally take my breath away every time when you are up there,’ judge Heidi Klum, 49, said. ‘I’ve never seen some of the moves that you do. You are in a different league of ‘aerialism.’
‘I train really hard,’ Aidan said.
Aidan said it would be a dream come true for him to win the competition.
Aidan was one of the 11 finalists who put it on the line for their final performance on the spin-off show to win the coveted title of AGT: All-Stars champion.
Detroit Youth Choir, a non-profit organization that helps to inspire young people in the Detroit area, were the first contestants. They danced and sang in unison and impressed the judges and audience.
‘This is by far the best choir I have ever seen,’ Heidi said. ‘All of you put so much energy out. I have the biggest smile on my face.’
‘They should be booked to be at the Super Bowl,’ Simon said.

Young ventriloquist Ana-María Mårgean went next and took the stage with her vocal coach puppet. The puppet told her to enunciate and to take a deep breath. The two sang together as confetti fell down around them.
‘There is a massive, massive market for someone with your talent and you really deserve to be here,’ Simon said.
Power Duo from the Philippines, winners of Philippine’s Got Talent, were shocked that they were still in the competition after a mistake during their audition.
They planned a dangerous act but said that they trusted each other with their lives. The couple danced on stage and high above twirling and spinning each other around. For the finale, they fell into each other’s arms.
‘I’ve been married for 42 years and my wife won’t let me do a lot of that stuff with her,’ Howie Mandel, 67, said. ‘Plus, if we tried it, we would rip the shower curtains off. It’s beautiful to watch and you make it seem effortless.’
Tom Ball, from Brighton, England, put his unique take on Radiohead’s song Creep. He brought his new wife Hannah with him to the show as a mini honeymoon. He said he was really determined to win and was grateful to Hannah for supporting him.
All three judges gave him a standing ovation as well as the audience.
‘It was one of those performances which shouldn’t work, but it did work,’ Simon said. ‘It was really powerful and moving. Oh boy, did you deserve to be there. I mean, seriously you just turned it up.’
Aidan McCann, a 13-year-old Irish magician and past finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, went next. He said magic made him feel like a superhero. He hoped the superfans voted for him to win.
The youngster asked Terry to help him on stage and to throw darts at balloons that didn’t contain his prediction. The final balloon contained a card that matched the card that Simon picked.
‘That was actually quite amazing,’ Simon said.
Acrobatic act Bello Sisters, three sisters from Italy, went next. Before they took the stage, they read an inspirational letter from their mother who was a female acrobatics pioneer.
They were determined to outdo what they had done before. Their mother nervously watched their act from the audience. They balanced themselves doing handstands off each other. They did their most dangerous aerobatic act all blindfolded.
‘I didn’t want it to be over; it was over too soon,’ Heidi said. ‘I mean you transfix us with your energy and what you do. It’s like glitz, glamour, glutes.’
‘The way everything looked, every part of it, the staging , and it was dangerous and it was brilliant and it was beautiful,’ Simon said.
Comedian Mike E. Winfield, of Baltimore, talked about how he has taken his gold confetti from his Golden Buzzer win with him everywhere. He said he was determined to be the first comedian to win AGT. He took the stage and made fun of his stepson that he called ‘step-man’ and how they would jokingly bond over his child support check.

‘I mean you are a true entertainer in the best possible way,’ Heidi said.
Light Balance Kids from Ukraine went next. They said they needed clearance from the government to leave Ukraine since Russia invaded their country. They danced in unison in black outfits that glowed and lit up in the dark. The crowd cheered for them when they finished and the judges gave them a standing ovation.
‘This was so exciting,’ Howie said of his Golden Buzzer pick. ‘This was so energetic.’
Howie said he thought they were the winners. Heidi also thought their show was amazing. Terry asked Simon if he liked it and he said no.
‘I loved it,’ Simon said. ‘This show through destiny, whatever, brought the older group and the younger group together, which in my opinion has created even more magic than we have seen previously, genuinely. I think you are such nice people you’ve got to now demand what you are owed, which is your own show in Vegas. You’re so creative. You have so much talent. And bearing in mind everything you’ve had to go through, it’s remarkable and I think you are remarkable.’
Simon said they were unbeatable.
Saxophonist Avery Dixon, of Atlanta, said he grew up being bullied but that being on the show had changed his life. He took the stage and played Earth Wind and Fire’s song September with his saxophone. Heidi stood up and danced during the song.
‘That was astonishing,’ Simon said.
‘I’m voting you most improved,’ Howie said.
Kodi Lee, a blind and autistic musical savant from Lake Elsinore, California who previously won AGT, went next.
‘Singing makes me feel so happy,’ Kodi said. ‘After AGT, I started my own music and a music video.’
Kodi took the stage and played the piano singing David Bowie’s song Heroes. The audience chanted his name when he finished and the judges gave him a standing ovation.
‘Kodi you are a hero every day,’ Howie said.
‘You shine so bright on that stage,’ Heidi said. ‘I love you so much. This was fantastic.’
‘That was just stunning, honestly stunning,’ Simon said.
AGT: All-Stars will return next Monday on NBC for the season finale when a winner will be announced.
