The Blue Bloods star celebrated his 54th birthday on August 17, and he received countless messages from his fans, friends, and followers on social media. He took to Instagram to let everyone know just how meaningful he found the outpouring of support.

Donnie shared a throwback photo from his early days with New Kids on the Block that transitions to a current video of the star smiling, nodding, and patting his chest. He paired the post with the poignant lyrics from the Bryan Adams song, “Heaven” (“Oh, thinking about our younger years…”).
