Mark Feehily has opened up on his return to Westlife, revealing that he had been ‘worried’ about whether he was ready.
The singer has had a number of health battles including being struck down with pneumonia, which left him hospitalised and missing two gigs.
In May, he then revealed he would be stepping back from his music duties, and would not be joining the boys on the summer leg of their Wildest Dreams tour.

Fans were delighted when Mark made his comeback on Good Morning Britain as part of the Irish band’s American TV debut.
Mark recently returned to the band, who have been singing all around the world as part of the Autumn leg of their Wild Dreams tour.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday morning, Mark reflected on the past six months as he extended thanks to his followers and fans for the huge support.
‘With my surgery and continued recovery, the love and kind words of support you have shown online and at the concerts has been so energizing and empowering!! he shared.
He admitted that he had been ‘worried about being ready to make it back for the concerts’ in China.
‘With a little sprinkle of passion and courage and mostly the support from loved ones and from you, I made it to the show and although my performances have not been perfect, I feel lucky to even be on the stage AT ALL.
‘Even if I’ve missed a dance move here or there and am temporarily moving a bit slower than normal, believe me it has been quite the journey for me.’
The father-of-one added that he was ‘delighted to say’ that the tour has been ‘a tremendous success’ and noted that they have ‘IMMENSELY’ enjoyed their time.
‘The magic of us singing our songs to (and with!) our fans remains well and truly alive and that’s the most important thing!’ he said.
Friends and followers took to the comments to praise Mark on his comeback, with bandmate Kian sharing: ‘It’s so amazing having you back and you smash it every night!’
Another wrote: ‘Stay humble and keep being courageous, and don’t forget that you are awesome as you are. Much love xx.’
A third simply stated: ‘Looking good.’
