Nick Carter has been treasuring time with his family over the holidays and in the wake of his younger sister Bobbie Jean’s death, just two days before Christmas.
On Saturday, the singer, 43, shared a sweet video of his son Odin, seven, hitting golf balls on a driving range with his more than 2.3 million Instagram followers.
‘Cherishing these moments,’ he wrote next to the clip, in which the first grader showed off his impressed swing.
In the footage, the former member of the vocal group Backstreet Boys can be heard proudly telling his son: ‘Great shot!’
Last week, the father-of-three, who shares daughters Saoirse, four, and Pearl, two, with his wife, Lauren Kitt, posted a sweet snap with his oldest girl in front of a giant, inflatable Frosty the Snowman.
‘It’s the second annual raising of Mr. Frosty with Saoirse,’ the Backstreet Boy penned next to a photo with Saoirse dressed in a Snow White costume.
Nick has yet to say anything publicly about the death of his sister Bobbie Jean, who passed away at age 41 on December 23.
The House of Carters cast member was found unresponsive in her bathroom of her home in Florida, according to People, who spoke with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
She taken by ambulance to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Bobbie Jean was on probation for cocaine possession, at the time of her death, resulting from a shoplifting arrest in September.
Her roommates told investigators that the former reality star has been clean since her release from jail in November.
No drug paraphernalia was found among her possessions.
Sources close to the family have said they believe the cause of death will be cardiac arrest.
The outlet also reported that Bobbie Jean’s daughter Bella, was not staying with her grandmother, Jane, but was being cared for by her late father’s sister.
Bobbie Jean’s death happened just over a year since her and Nick’s brother, Aaron Carter, ‘accidentally drowned in his bathtub as a result of sedatives he’d taken and gas used in spray cleaners he had inhaled,’ according to NPR, on November 5, 2022.
Their sister, Leslie, died of an apparently drug overdose in 2012.
At the time, ABC reported that she ‘overdosed and was under the influence of several drugs before her death.’
Nick, who has not publicly reacted to Bobbie Jean’s death, seems to be keeping himself as busy as possible at this time.
The hitmaker will head off to Latin America after the new year, where he has scheduled numerous shows through the end of the month on his Who I Am 2024 tour.
His new single, Never Break My Heart (Not Again) is scheduled to be released on January 31.
