B2K singer Raz B was involved in a harrowing incident in Kansas City Thursday, as he broke a window at a hospital he was staying at and scaled the roof of the building before police negotiators were able to talk him down.
The 37-year-old musical artist, in video published on TMZ, was seen standing in a precarious position on the roof of the medical facility, near ledges.
In the clip published on the website, Raz B was seen adjacent to a ledge at Saint Luke’s Hospital as concerned citizens observed him from afar.
Police told the outlet that police were sent to the hospital Thursday at 10:20 a.m. after they were contacted by the facility’s security and off-duty officers.
Raz B had broken a window to gain access to the roof, law enforcement sources told the outlet.

Police were concerned that Raz B could jump off from the high spot, sources told the outlet, and laid down protective devices such as mats at the bottom of the structure.
A negotiator summoned to the scene made contact with the musical artist, who eventually entered back in through the window and received treatment from staffers on hand.
Raz B, whose real name is De’Mario Monte Thornton, was seen in a troubling clip he posted to Instagram Wednesday, as he spoke about how he wasn’t feeling safe ahead of an unspecified surgical procedure he had scheduled.
‘All day I’ve been trying to clear miscommunications up and I’m letting everybody know right now that – Joseph, I need you to call me right now – I don’t feel safe, I’m in Kansas City, I’m at the Hilton hotel and I’m telling everybody right now, Raz-B does not feel safe,’ he said.
He continued: ‘Put out an APB for Raz B in Kansas City, I don’t feel safe, I don’t feel safe – I’m telling everybody right now I don’t feel safe.’
The Cleveland native captioned the unnerving clip, ‘My brother is full of s***!!!
‘I’ve been fighting to stay alive, I don’t wanna have this surgery here …’
He also posted the address to a hospital in Kansas City.
Raz B is a founding member of R&B boy band B2K – short for Boys of the New Millennium – which also includes vocalists Omarion, J-Boog and Lil’ Fizz.
The group in March of 2002 released their self-titled initial album, which spawned the singles Understanding, Why I Love You and Gots Ta Be.
They had their best success later that year with the track Bump, Bump, Bump, which featured Diddy.
