The provision in Kylian Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain contract allows him to depart the French capital on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.

Real Madrid is on high alert as Kylian Mbappe is anticipated to leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract ends.

The last season of Mbappe’s three-year deal, which he signed with PSG just one year ago, is up for grabs. In light of this, the striker will be free to leave Paris next summer; Real is rumored to be his top choice.

The Spanish powerhouses attempted to get Mbappe on a free transfer last summer and in August 2021 but had a £154 million proposal rejected. The World Cup winner was convinced to give PSG his short-term future, but it now seems that he is reconsidering his options.

According to L’Equipe, Mbappe has little interest in exercising that contract clause. That might compel PSG to either sell the player this summer or engage in new negotiations with him, though both of those alternatives might be challenging.

Most elite European teams, including Real, would struggle to come up with the money to sign Mbappe this summer. It’s also debatable whether Carlo Ancelotti’s team actually needs to sign Mbappe right away given that Karim Benzema is still putting in strong performances.

Real would have more money to spend on Jude Bellingham if they waited until the following summer to sign Mbappe. The 19-year-old England international, who has made an impact for Borussia Dortmund, is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in the world.

Bellingham was denied its first league championship on Saturday after Dortmund missed a great chance to win the Bundesliga. In the season’s final match, Mainz needed to defeat Bayern, but a 2-2 draw allowed Bayern Munich to win their 11th straight championship.

Given that Luke Modric is towards the conclusion of his illustrious career, Bellingham would be a tremendous coup for Real. Modric, 37, and Toni Kroos, 33, struggled to keep up during Real’s recent 4-0 loss to Manchester City, highlighting the team’s aging midfield.

But if Real can secure Bellingham, they would possess arguably the most intriguing young midfield in Europe. The French combo Aurelien Tchouameni, 23, and Eduardo Camavinga, 20, are already on their roster. Additionally, the latter can play left back.

If Mbappe completes a move, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo might join him in attack. All three players are still at the top of their games. David Alaba and Eder Militao will continue to work together at the center of Real’s defense.

Real’s left-back position is a worry because Antonio Rudiger frequently fills in. Dani Carvajal, who is still only 31 years old, will continue to be the team’s first choice right back for a while, and the same can be said about world-class goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
