During Sunday’s broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, rap superstar Cardi B performed live from the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Afterward, she was spotted with her estranged husband, Offset, at a Miami club.
On Monday, Cardi B cleared up questions regarding her relationship status in a Space Livestream chat on X (formerly Twitter).
“We was both in the same club, and it was just really awkward. Like, I’m in my section, he’s in his section,” she shared. “So it’s like, ‘Man, just f—ing come over here. Let’s just chill. We’re having a good time.’”
Though they had a fun night, Cardi B said she “don’t consider that we’re back together.”

She also revealed the two reconnected sexually, but said that wasn’t enough to rekindle their romance.
“The answer to getting back together is not a good night at the club and f—ing the night long. We need to work on our sh–, we need to work on our communication, there’s things that he needs to work on, there’s things that I need to work on,” said Cardi B.
“It’s a fun night, then guess what, the next day we’re arguing, the next day I’m blocking. The next thing you know, we aren’t talking for four days. I don’t want to keep that cycle going.”
Earlier this month, Cardi B revealed her split from her husband of over five years, Migos rapper Offset, in an Instagram Live video, announcing, “I have been single for a minute now.”
When news broke that the couple unfollowed each other on social media, Cardi B shared, “I know where I wanna be next year, you know what I’m saying? You gotta get rid of dead weight. And when it comes to dead weight … mentality, procrastination, laziness, and people. Because a lot of people are dead weight too.”
Despite the heated exchanges online following their split, the two spent Christmas together with their two children, according to a recent Instagram Story from Offset.
