Sportsbooks start taking wagers on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s fairytale Super Bowl engagement after the two openly professed their love for one another on the field in Baltimore…
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift could turn the Super Bowl into a Love Story if the pop star says ‘yes’ to what would be a shocking fairytale proposal.
At least, that’s what sportsbooks are thinking. The Super Bowl has always been rife with ‘prop’ bets and the latest to hit the market involves a possible engagement between Kelce and Swift.
Up in Canada, sportsbook FanDuel has started to offer bets on the odds of Kelce proposing to Swift in Las Vegas at Super Bowl LVIII.
Odds opened at +190 for Kelce to get down on one knee. But the betting favorite is that it won’t happen – with opening odds at -250.
Canadian bettors seemed to outwardly reject the idea of such an event taking place, with the line plummeting to -3500 within one hour of the prop hitting the market.
In statistical terms, the opening odds of -250 meant that there was a 71.43 percent chance of this not happening. Odds of -3500 represent a 97.22 percent likelihood.
For the crazy few who betted ‘yes’, in order for it to cash, Kelce would have to get down on one knee on the field after the game. Any locker room proposal would not count.
Rumors surrounding Kelce’s potential proposal emerged after Page Six reported the Kansas City Chiefs star had asked Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, for his blessing.
‘Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it,’ Page Six reported. ‘Travis has been talking to friends about a ring.’
Kelce has publicly made his feelings for Taylor known after he was caught on video telling her, ‘I love you’.
