One look that truly stole the show was a peach lehenga, reminiscent of Kareena Kapoor’s iconic Bole Chudiyan ensemble from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Shloka and Diya dived into Manish Malhotra’s archives to recreate Kareena Kapoor’s famous outfit, crafting a custom lehenga for the Ambani family’s eldest daughter-in-law. Diya shared photos of Shloka’s dazzling look on Instagram, and the internet couldn’t get enough.

Shloka’s custom-made peach lehenga set includes a cropped blouse with a jewelled one-shoulder neckline, a backless style, detailed Resham and sequin embroidery, and butterfly-adorned tassels at the hem.

Meanwhile, the OG, Kareena Kapoor Khan, also reacted to it. She took to Instagram Stories and wrote, “Bole Chudiyaaan (rainbow and pink heart emojis). @shloka11 you look gorgeous.” Kareena missed the sangeet as she is traveling abroad with her husband, Saif Ali Khan, and their sons, Taimur and Jehangir.

The highlight of the sangeet was a performance by popstar Justin Bieber. The singer, whose triumphant return to the stage in an intimate Toronto concert at Drake’s club earlier this year made a lot of noise, performed his popular songs such as Baby, Never Let You Go, Love Yourself, Peaches, Boyfriend, Sorry and Where Are U Now at the sangeet.

The couple’s grand wedding will take place on July 13 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The first event is the Shubh Vivah or wedding function, with a dress code of Indian traditional. On July 13, the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony will follow.
