Travis Kelce has hit out at ‘jacka**es in the media after Steelers boss Mike Tomlin led Pittsburgh to a non-losing season for the 17th straight year.
Tomlin has been head coach of the Steelers since 2007 and has never once ended a campaign with a win percentage worse than 0.500. In 2009, he led Pittsburgh to Super Bowl glory.
Victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday took the Steelers’ record to 9-7 heading into the final game of the season.
But it wasn’t long ago that Tomlin was under pressure after a run of four defeats in five games during November and December.
‘They were talking about firing him – what – seven weeks ago?’ Jason Kelce said on the latest episode of New Heights.

His younger brother Travis then took aim at reporters over their coverage of ‘one of the best coaches the NFL has ever season.’
‘The media are so dumb. Why do we even do media? They’re just a bunch of jacka**es,’ the Chiefs tight end said.
‘(They’re) just out there talking nonsense. One of the best coaches the NFL has ever seen, about to possibly get his 17th consecutive non-losing season. Jesus Christ.’
The Steelers face the high-flying Baltimore Ravens (13-3) in week 18, knowing victory would likely secure them a place in the playoffs.
According to current projections, however, defeat would see Pittsburgh’s chances of reaching the postseason drop to just 13 per cent.
