LeBron James Believes He and Anthony Davis Will Carry the Los Angeles Lakers’ Road to the Championship Next Season

The LA Lakers duo, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, have carried the team on their shoulders for quite some time now. Despite their tough time, the former is confident they can still guide the LA side to another championship title.

Talking to the reporter about the Lakers’ potential participation in the title race, LeBron said, “We still have two guys who commit every single day with myself and AD. We commit to excellence and commit to win. And we feel like any situation, any given year, we can put ourselves in a position to be able to succeed. And we’re not that far off.”

The Lakers are facing difficulties in acquiring players in the offseason. While many feel the franchise cannot succeed without a decent roster, LeBron reminded me of the 2020 championship victory, when the maximum contribution came from the pair.

However, that was the only time in their five years that LeBron and AD tasted success. Although they did reach the postseason tournament exceptionally, none had a fruitful result.

The Lakers’ dependence became more visible last season when the two faced injuries. To avoid such a situation, they asked the organization to acquire an elite player they couldn’t yet manage. Nevertheless, LeBron and Anthony Davis are not worried about the Purple and Gold as they have other duties.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis Reunite in USA Colors

Weeks after the Lakers’ disastrous exit from the playoffs, LeBron James and Anthony Davis joined forces to represent the USA men’s basketball team. They arrived in Las Vegas with the other team members for the practice session under head coach Steve Kerr.

LeBron and Davis were seen in their most comfortable selves, cracking inside jokes. The latter would be appearing for the second Olympics, while this could possibly be LeBron’s last.

LeBron James, the most experienced player, will lead the team. The 39-year-old’s bonding with Davis and Kevin Durant could be an advantage. Whereas his first pairing up with Steph Curry could be a treat to basketball fans.
