In Toronto, Wemby has won the commentator’s ‘love at first sight’ on Valentine’s Day.

“Love at First Sight” in Toronto as Victor Wembanyama Oozes 61YO Veteran Commentator

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, love is in the air for the Toronto Raptors broadcaster, Jack Armstrong, as he watches rookie Victor Wemabanyama annihilate the Raptors in their showdown with the San Antonio Spurs today. In a usual top-tier performance, Wemby gathered 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 assists for his team, but that wasn’t the only highlight of the game.

It seemed like it was the first time that veteran broadcaster, Jack Armstrong witnessed Wemby in all his glory, and during the commentary, he even went on to state, “Valentine’s Day is in 2 days, Matty D, I’m in love. Love at first sight.” Quickly rectified by his next statement that Valentine’s Day is in 2 days and blamed the mistake on his excitement, “I love Victor!

Playing only in his 48th NBA game, rookie Wemby has been making waves all across. In his last 10 games, Victor has been averaging 20.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. Fans and experts collectively state that Wemby has been dropping rookie stats not seen since King James himself. Interestingly, Victor has been putting up legendary stats despite having less playing time than LeBron back when he was a rookie.

In the game against the Raptors, Wemby made a historic run, again! With his impressive stats, Victor became the second player in the steals & blocks era and the first since Hakeem Olajuwon in 1990 to reach those numbers in a single game and he did it with two threes, 81.1% TS, and a +20 in 29 minutes. It’s obvious that the Toronto broadcaster, Armstrong, fell in love with the rookie at what seems like “first sight”.
