Stallone is uncertain whether Star Wars should be considered as an action movie.

The majority of the battle sequences in the movie are embellished with pyrotechnics and computer effects.

“What I meant is that beginning with Star Wars, the industry began to revolutionize itself.

Special effects and technology became extremely important and action films went from being Lawrence of Arabia to these extraordinary special effects events.

It wasn’t a prerequisite that he be a great actor anymore. The human emotion was being transformed into the technological explosion,”

The actor recalled his experience in his movie Judge Dredd, where the special effects overpowered his performance.

The ending had nothing to do with him and all about the technological visuals.

Even though the effects are needed to strengthen the impact, the movie should be remarkable for the performances and not just visual effects. He also stated that, 

“That’s why I think First Blood is one of the first action films. I relied on body acting to tell the story.

The character never talks, but you know exactly what’s going on through the other characters.

They’re almost like narrators in his Greek tragedy,”

Action hero Sylvester Stallone spoke candidly about his audition for the role of Han Solo on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon during the promotion of The Expendables 3.

He decided to give a shot to Star Wars for the role of Han Solo and eventually was passed on to Harrison Ford.

Talking to Jimmy Fallon, Sylvester Stallone revealed both George Lucas and his producers were exhausted after a full day of auditions and seemed to dislike him for the part right from the start.

Not someone to take things quietly, Stallone revealed he cut the chase before it even began by simply telling the panel.

“Let me just make it easy for you. I would look like crap in spandex, leotards and a ray gun. I get it. Guys in space don’t have this face, I get it.” 

It wasn’t long before Stallone and Lucas realized that Stallone might not have been the ideal choice for the part.
