While Rambo 4 may not receive all the love from the critics or fans, it does have Sylvester Stallone’s vote of confidence.
However, the one movie that he cannot stand by wholeheartedly is Cobra.
Although initially criticized, the film found its audience in the later years ultimately becoming a cult classic.
Thus, while speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival recently, the actor took the opportunity to express his regret over the matter and further pointed out the factors that could have significantly improved if he were to him.

Why Does Sylvester Stallone Regret This Cult Classic So Much
The beloved Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone has finally confessed his biggest regret.
While speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, the actor revealed his true feelings for this ’80s cult classic named Cobra.
He felt the movie that is now cherished by many was somewhat “half-baked” in his opinion.
What stands out as his greatest regret is the missed opportunity to take the helm as the director of this project. As he stated,
“Cobra to me, was half-baked, I could have done better, but I wasn’t concentrating enough. I felt as though that’s something I should have directed, and I didn’t, and I regret that.
That’s one thing about making movies, aside from watching your hairline recede, you go, ‘god, why didn’t I try harder?”
In addition to that, the actor also went a step further by openly expressing his desire to have pushed himself a bit harder during the filming of the movie.
Despite having so many regrets, the film originally directed by George P. Cosmatos still stands out as one of the most loved works by the actor to this date.
Having been in the industry for several decades with many successful franchises under his belt, Sylvester Stallone is still one of the greatest.
Primarily known for his macho action films, one franchise that stands out in the list of his life’s work is Rambo.
The franchise has exceeded expectations and has further launched him into an unfathomable height of fame over the years. Thus, fans still sometimes hope for the revival of the saga with a new sequel.
Sylvester Stallone as John J. Rambo
Having started the saga at 34, the actor has come a long way since then and is currently 77 years of age.
Thus, on the same Toronto International Film Festival night, the actor finally addressed whether he would be returning as Rambo or not. As he hilariously stated,
“Rambo, I could leave him. He’s done pretty much, even though they want to do another one, but what am I fighting? Arthritis?”
Stallone admitted that he has now left the character behind and would like to focus on the things the future has in store for him.
