The 76-year-old actor made his position clear regarding the filming of Creed IV.
Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan in “Creed.” Source: Instagram @stallonethaangssRocky Balboa and John Rambo are, without a doubt, two of Sylvester Stallone ‘s most famous characters . That is why the actor has set a condition to play the first one again at 76 years old, within the Creed franchise.
Although he ruled out being part of the third installment, he is thinking about it for the fourth.
It was in 2015 when Stallone starred in “Creed” alongside Michael B. Jordan. The film follows the story of Rocky Balboa, but in his role as mentor to Apollo Creed’s son, a young man who has desires and dreams of becoming a successful boxer.
Although at one point the 76-year-old actor had doubts about joining the project, he ended up being part of the sequel.
Will Sylvester Stallone participate in “Creed IV”?
The answer does not exist yet. The Golden Globe winner has expressed himself in some interviews in a position against producer Irwin Winkler retaining the rights to the Rocky franchise. “You now control Creed . I would like to have some of those rights back and not pass them on to your children. “I think it would be a nice gesture from a 93-year-old gentleman,” Stallone said .
It is for this reason that the three-time Oscar nominee has refused to be part of “Creed III” and does not want anything to do with seeing it.
However, as he has a good relationship with his director, Michael B. Jordan, he does not rule out participating in a fourth installment.
About the latter, the protagonist of “The Expendables” mentioned: “He is a nice guy. If we can write a good story with him, I would have no problem doing Creed IV , as long as the producers are not involved.”
In this way, the actor made his condition clear : without producers involved. According to Sylvester Stallone , his vision for ” Creed III” was very different from what will be seen in the film.
The artist thinks it is “too dark.” Regarding this, he mentioned: “They took it in a very different direction than the one I would have taken.
I wish you the best, but I’m more of a sentimentalist. “I like my heroes to suffer, but not in such a dark way.”
