However, he had a falling out with the producers, which resulted in a franchise fizzling out and the Creed franchise taking over.

Michael B. Jordan’s Creed franchise did much to live up to the legacy of the original.

However, the Rocky franchise remains unique and unparalleled.

Stallone starrer Rocky V was the lowest-grossing film, and according to reports, its initial ending would have nearly killed the Rocky franchise and Michael B. Jordan’s Creed future if the directors had delivered the original end conclusion on the silver screen.

His on-screen persona became larger than life in 1976 as he shot to fame for portraying his iconic role of Rocky Balboa in the sports drama Rocky, which anointed him as one of the most groundbreaking performers in the film industry.

Over the years, Rocky films have earned bucketloads of cash and have become one of the most commercial hits and critically acclaimed franchises.

In 1976, Sylvester Stallone created the epic sports drama franchise, Rocky. The film series revolves around the life of Rocky Balboa, played by Stallone- a hardworking professional boxer.

Each sequel of the beloved franchise earned several accolades and saw a mammoth success.

According to reports, if Rocky V had followed its original conclusion by killing the iconic lead character, the franchise would have never stayed in the spotlight and had no additional spin-offs like Michael B. Jordan’s Creed films.

As per the original plot,

“Rocky is killed during the final fight with Tommy, dying in Adrian’s arms in the street by saying, “As long as there are people willing to meet challenges of life and not surrender until their dreams become realities, the world will always have their Rockys.”

The titular film received mixed reviews from the audience, and it did poorly at the box office by grossing $119.9 million worldwide.

This film was the lowest-grossing project in the Rocky franchise.

The Rocky V movie producers, Irwin Winkler, and John G. Avildsen, were also not pleased with the initial end conclusion of the film.

They claimed that this scene was never filmed and that Stallone was sure of the ending.

The Rocky franchise and its sequels earned staggering profits at the box office and won critical acclaim and popularity worldwide.

However, as is often said, ‘All good things must come to an end’; his beloved franchise parted ways with him.

The most recent installment, Creed III, received a positive response from the audience, and this project marks a turning point in the franchise’s history since it is the first film that saw the absence of Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.
