His action-packed performances and heartfelt storytelling made him a worldwide sensation. Directors were running after Stallone as his influence on the audience was immeasurable.

He had so much power on sets that he once fired an actress because he didn’t get along with her while filming the movie.

The actress who was fired from the movie recalled the incident revealing that she was told she was being removed due to “creative differences.

In the end, actress Sandra Bullock took her place and the movie did fairly well at the global box office.

Director Marco Brambilla’s 1993 movie, Demolition Man, featured many iconic Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallon, Wesley Snipes, and Sandra Bullock.

What many people don’t know is that Bullock was the second choice for the role of Lenina Huxley.

Actress Lori Petty was the initial choice, however, Petty was removed from the movie due to “creative differences.” A source stated at the time,

“Warner Bros. wasn’t all that happy with her dailies. They felt they could do better with someone else.”

Just three days into filming, Perry was asked to leave the set and Sandra Bullock took her place.

At the time, Perry was well-known for her work in A League of Their Own (1992) and Point Break (1991).

Although sources said that Warner Bros. wasn’t happy with her “dailies,” Petty’s 1993 interview with Entertainment Weekly indicates otherwise.

In the interview, she explained that she didn’t get along with Sylvester Stallone on the sets,

“Sly and I were like oil and water.”

The movie received mixed reviews from fans and critics.

It managed to earn roughly $159 million around the world on a budget of $57 million.

While it was not a record-breaking blockbuster, the film massively contributed to Sylvester Stallone’s influence in the action genre.

Looking back at it, Stallone’s influence in the industry was quite high in the 1990s. Filmmakers needed the star to attract audiences.

It could be possible that Stallone had enough power to get Petty fired but there is no bad blood between them.

Stallone’s iconic characters like Rocky Balboa and John Rambo have captivated audiences for decades and made him a worldwide star.

Today, he is one of the most influential and successful stars in the entertainment industry.
