Action hero Liam Neeson transforms into a cold-blooded gaster in the latest movie Run All Night.
In Run All Night , Liam Neeson plays Brooklyn gangster and notorious assassin Jimmy Conlon, who was once known as “The Gravedigger”.
As a close friend of gang boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris), Jimmy, even though he is now 55 years old, is still haunted by the crimes he committed in the past as well as the police who are always following him.
Chasing me like a shadow for the past 30 years.
Life is at a standstill, Jimmy finds joy with a glass of Whiskey. It wasn’t until Mike (Joel Kinnaman) – Jimmy’s estranged son – became the target of criminals… that Jimmy’s life changed.
To protect his son, one-time gangster Jimmy Conlon will have to embark on an escape in which he becomes the hunted prey of both sides: the police and the gangsters.
The actor of the Taken series said that right from the moment he read the script, he really liked the film when it combined two elements of action and psychology.
“What I like most about this movie is that besides a lot of dramatic action scenes, the film’s content is very profound, revolving around the rifts in the relationship between two men who were once close brothers as well as friends.
The way a father did to make up for his son,” said Liam Neeson.
The film marked Neeson’s reunion with director Jaume Collet-Serra, who Neeson commented “always saw action films as symphonies”.
The director also admitted that while reading the script, he immediately thought of Neeson for the role of Jimmy.
“It’s understandable, not only because Liam has been very successful in this genre but also because he also has a son.
And I know that Liam will feel sympathy for what his character has to go through,” he said
