Actors often go to great lengths in order to portray characters accurately. In some scenes, they go n*de because the script requires them to do so.
That’s precisely what Mackenzie Davis did when she was filming Terminator: Dark Fate (2019).
In the movie, Davis plays the role of Grace, who was introduced to the franchise for the first time.
It was revealed that Davis actually went completely n*de in the scene where her character is fighting the cops.
She was offered underwear matching the color of her skin in order to make it look real, but she declined.

Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) was actress Mackenzie Davis’ first Terminator movie.
However, this wasn’t her first Sci-Fi movie as she starred as Mariette in Blade Runner 2049 (2017).
The actress, known for her dedication, went completely n*de for a scene while playing Grace.
In the scene where Grace fights authorities, Mackenzie Davis is actually n*de because she wanted it to look authentic.
She was offered to wear “flesh-colored” underwear, however, she refused to wear it.
In the movie, she starred alongside legendary stars like Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Working in the movie wasn’t easy for Davis. The makeup process took a lot of time.
Make-up artist Bill Corso once explained the process,
“To start, we basically pinstriped the whole body with a latex frisking.
The whole design was painted very thin, with spatulas. The frisking would be peeled off after this, which would leave perfectly white razor-thin lines.
On top of that, we used a mix of matte Pros-Aide with pink flocking in it and ran a little bead of that down the white lines to make it translucent and textural.”
He explained that Mackenzie Davis spent two and a half hours every day sitting in a chair getting ready for her role,

“It would create a slight drop shadow because of the tan and also map out the Pros-Aide.
When she moved her arm and everything, you’d get this beautiful little pucker just like on a real scar.
It looked very cool, especially up close. That was her normal daily routine.
She would go through two and a half hours of getting these scars put on her.”
Apart from this, Davis went through intense training sessions and consumed a special diet in order to stay in shape for the movie.
Arnold Schwarzenegger also spent hours with make-up artists perfecting the appearance of his character.
Mackenzie Davis loved working on the movie

In 2020, Mackenzie Davis explained that she had fun filming the movie even if there wasn’t any demand for it,
“I really loved [Dark Fate] and I’m so proud of what we did, but there wasn’t a demand for it and to think that there’d be a demand for a seventh film is quite insane.”
The film introduces Mackenzie Davis’ character, Grace, a resistance soldier from the future who’s been converted into a cyborg after sustaining fatal injuries in battle.
