So…where did these rumors stem from? Us Weekly reports that it seems as though fans took a mashup of songs Taylor performed onstage in Melbourne, leaned way into the lyrics, and kinda ran with it.

The songs in question? “Getaway Car,” “August,” and “The Other Side of the Door”—all of which have some pretty specific lyrics that promote this theory.
On “Getaway Car,” Taylor sings, “but with three of us, honey, it’s a sideshow;” on “The Other Side of the Door,” she sings, “and I broke down crying, was she worth this mess;” and on “August,” she sings, “’cause you were never mine.”

Buuut other than people reading into these lyrics, there’s literally no evidence of infidelity in Joe and Taylor’s relationship.
