Arnold Schwarzenegger said that the reason the US President constantly attacks him on social media is because Donald Trump loves this actor.
The Terminator star and the US President often exchange words on Twitter because of the show The Celebrity Apprentice .
Most recently, the conflict became a big deal when Mr. Donald Trump posted a statement announcing that Schwarzenegger had been fired from this reality TV show because the viewership ratings were too poor.
Participating in an interview on SiriusXM ‘s The Michael Smerconish program on March 7, the actor quite freely shared his thoughts about this controversy.
When asked how he felt about constantly being a target for the new president’s attacks, Arnold Schwarzenegger calmly said: “I think he loves me.”
The answer made the host laugh loudly and have to ask again: “What’s that about?”, Schwarzenegger remained calm: “Really, I think so.”
However, other than that statement, Arnold Schwarzenegger did not reveal any attitude or make any other official statement about the controversy.
Previously, the quarrel between Schwarzenegger and Trump was fierce after the actor announced that he had decided to quit his role as host of The Celebrity Apprentice in a conversation with Empire on March 6. On this occasion, Schwarzenegger also blamed Trump for the show’s poor ratings.
Immediately after that, the 45th President of the United States, creator of The Apprentice and currently acting as executive producer of the show, posted on his Twitter account: “Arnold Schwarzenegger did not voluntarily leave the Apprentice , he Fired by pathetic viewership.”
Less than an hour after Donald Trump tweeted, Schwarzenegger responded with another tweet: “You should think about hiring a new joke writer and a fact checker.”
Last January, Donald Trump also “kicked” Schwarzenegger, pulling The Celebrity Apprentice’s ratings lower and lower: “That’s a star actor.
Just compare him to the 14 seasons of shows I did before that. But who cares, he even supported Kasich and Hillary.”
Schawarzenegger was not satisfied and responded: “I hope you will devote yourself to the American people the same way you contribute to the program’s ratings.”
