The Commando star has long been rumored to be a part of the Don Cheadle starrer Armor Wars. The War Machine-centered film was rumored to star Arnold Schwarzenegger in the role of Titanium Man in the film.

While there have been no announcements regarding his casting, Cheadle once teased on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the star was a part of the film.

The Don Cheadle starrer Armor Wars was initially announced as a Disney+ series before being commissioned into a film, with the makers stating that the budget required for the story would make more sense for a movie than a series.

The series Secret Invasion was set to directly set up Armor Wars as would the upcoming show Ironheart.

However, there have not been many updates about the film yet with only Don Cheadle set to reprise his role as James Rhodes a.k.a War Machine.

The film is said to explore Tony Stark’s tech falling into the wrong hands and War Machine’s efforts to bring them back to order. The film is also rumored to star Sam Rockwell’s Justin Hammer after Iron Man 2.

Though none of the other cast details have been revealed, Arnold Schwarzenegger was rumored to play Titanium Man in Armor Wars.

Don Cheadle seemingly confirmed the news before backing up and disregarding it as a rumor.

In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Cheadle was asked Kimmel if Schwarzenegger was playing Titanium Man, to which he said,

“I think he is in for Titanium Man….Is this a serious question? What is Titanium Man?… I hadn’t heard about it…I don’t know about that but I’ll ask him the next time I see him.”

Titanium Man was a popular supervillain who was the Russian counterpart of Iron Man in the comics.

With a filmography filled with over-the-top action films such as The Terminator, Commando, Predator, True Lies, and more, Arnold Schwarzenegger created a superhero brand of his own.

However, he officially played a comic-book character in Joel Schumacher’s Batman & Robin, in which he played the supervillain Mr. Freeze.

The film was critically panned and has been regarded as one of the worst Batman films of all time.

The film saw Schwarzenegger’s Mr. Freeze trying to heal his terminally ill wife and needing diamonds to survive in sub-zero temperatures after a lab accident.

The actor’s performance was riddled with ice puns and was considered to be among the bad parts of the film. Batman & Robin was the last release the actor had before he went in for surgery and was recovering for a few years.

Despite the troubled experience last time, Arnold Schwarzenegger did not disregard trying out the genre again as he mentioned to Men’s Health in an interview that he would consider a role in Marvel if the role was right.

With Don Cheadle being coy about the casting, fans have to wait till 2026 when Armor Wars releases to know if the action star is in the MCU.
