During his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Terminator star reflected on his broken marriage with Maria Shriver, with whom he shares four children.

Talking about his character, who also separated from his wife after cheating on her, Schwarzenegger shared that he does not regret his separation from his ex-wife. Although it was not easy initially, he has moved on from his divorce.

They finalized their divorce ten years later, in 2021, and continued co-parenting their children.
During his recent interview, the Predator star was asked if he misses being married anymore.
Schwarzenegger said that although he does not miss his married life anymore, the divorce was not very easy in the beginning.
“[The divorce] was very, very difficult in the beginning,” he said.
However, he has moved on and has “a wonderful girlfriend.” He also said that he loves his ex-wife and is still good friends with her.
The Twins star shared that he is proud of how they have raised their children.
He claimed that they handled their divorce very well, as their separation hardly impacted their children.

“If there’s Oscars for how to handle divorce, Maria and I should get it for having the least amount of impact on the kids,” he said.
Schwarzenegger also talked about his character in the film and admitted that it was his actions that messed up his marriage.

“We were laughing about it — it feels like it’s a documentary.” he shared. The True Lies actor shared that he does not consider Luke Brunner cheated on his wife as seducing others was a part of his CIA profession.
He claims that his character in the series is still in love with his wife and fears that his daughter might also have to go through the same as a CIA operative.
However, in his real-life marriage to Maria Shriver, it was his “f*ckup” and “failure” that led to their separation.
He has been in a relationship with the physical therapist Heather Milligan for over a decade after they started dating in 2013.
