Brian Austin Green has said some very interesting things about his ex and her relationship with MGK.

There was a time when Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox represented one of Hollywood’s hottest couples. The pair’s relationship may have been through a lot of ups and downs (Fox almost divorced Green several years ago), but fans certainly never expected them to call it quits eventually.
Meanwhile, Fox has taken her relationship with Colson Baker, a.k.a. Machine Gun Kelly, public (fans even think they’re secretly engaged). And while Green and Fox appear amicable, fans still wonder what Green really thinks of his ex-wife’s new man. Luckily, the actor once got candid about the subject himself.
He Was The One Who Revealed They’ve Split
Back in 2020, fans were shocked to learn from Green himself that he had already split from his wife of nearly 10 years. On his podcast …With Brian Austin Green, the actor revealed that he and Fox were “trying to sort of be apart.”
As it turns out, they decided to go their separate ways after Fox made an important realization when she left country to shoot a project. “She said, ‘You know, I realized while I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself, and I liked myself better during that experience, and I think that may be something worth trying for me,’” Green recalled.
“And, I was shocked and I was upset about it, but I can’t be upset at her, and I wasn’t upset at her because that’s, she didn’t ask to feel that way, it wasn’t a choice she made, that’s the way she honestly felt.”
That’s when the former couple realized that they had to “take some space” from each other. They also thought it would be better to end their relationship instead of facing the possibility of a “volatile situation” later on.
At the same time, Green also revealed they have been apart since 2019. However, he and Fox made a “decision early on to not comment” about the matter publicly. And despite splitting up, Green has said that they remain committed to raising their kids together.
“And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family, what we have built is really cool and really special,” the actor said. “So we decided let’s make sure we don’t lose that.
That no matter what we’re always friends with each other and we’re a united front with the kids.” Meanwhile, soon after Fox started getting spotted with Baker, Green revealed that they spoke about him briefly.
At that time, Fox had told him that there was nothing romantic going on between them and that he was just a good friend, “which she needed.” As fans would know, however, that friendship eventually turned to romance.
Here’s What He’s Said About Megan Fox And Machine Gun Kelly
Fox met Machine Gun Kelly while working on the film Midnight in the Switchgrass. And contrary to rumors, the actress told InStyle that Baker had “nothing to do” with her divorce from Green.
Since making their relationship public, the pair has been pictured everywhere (they’ve been posting photos together on social media too). Interestingly, however, it is unclear if Green had already met Baker since the singer and Fox have officially become a couple.
“I’ve never heard anything bad from him or bad from Megan about him. At the same time, Green acknowledged that he had heard some “bad stories” about Baker. However, he’d rather reserve his own judgement until they meet in person.
“I’ve heard bad stories about myself as well and I know that most of those aren’t true,” the actor said. “I trust my own instincts on meeting somebody and somebody else whose instincts I feel have always been really spot on, so, as of right now, I have no problem with him at all.”
Months later, Green and Baker finally had a chance to meet as Baker spent some time with Fox and Green’s kids. According to reports, the two men appear to be getting along well. “Machine Gun Kelly and Brian Austin Green have spent time a decent amount of time together with the kids,” one source told HollywoodLife.
“They have gotten along great. They’re not best friends or anything, but they’re very cordial and respectful of one another.” The source also added that there has been “no drama whatsoever” since Green and Baker have started hanging out together. “It seems everyone is really starting to get on board and blend their families and the guys have been an integral part of this.”
