As soon as a video of Megan Fox’s 2009 interview on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live resurfaced on Twitter, where Fox said Bad Boys II director Michael Bay had her wear a bikini, cowboy hat, and six-inch heels as an extra when she was 15.

And what Jimmy Kimmel told in response to that, faced huge criticism from many fans. Kimmel appeared to brush over the point Fox was trying to make and interrupted with a joke to diffuse the growing tension.

Megan Fox claimed director Michael Bay told her to dance in a bikini “under a waterfall” in Bad Boys II starring Will Smith at just 15 years old in the above mentioned resurfaced video.

Fox discusses her first experiences with Michael Bay in the said clip, which emerged from a 2009 interview with Jimmy Kimmel. She calls the Transformers director “famous for being a tyrant on set.”

“I had just turned 15 and I was an extra in Bad Boys II,” Fox told Kimmel during the 2009 interview.

“They were shooting this club scene and they brought me in and I was wearing a stars and stripes bikini and a red cowboy hat and six-inch heels”

She continued:

“He approved it and they said, ‘Michael, she’s 15 so you can’t sit her at the bar and she can’t have a drink in her hand.’ So his solution to that problem was to then have me dancing underneath a waterfall getting soaking wet.”

Fox repeated she was just 15 multiple times throughout the story.

Fox described the Bad Boys II incident as “inconsequential in a long and arduous journey” along which she had endured some genuinely harrowing experiences in a ruthlessly misogynistic industry.

Jimmy Kimmel Laughed At Megan Fox’s Story, Fans Got Upset

The internet gave its hands in supporting Megan Fox and called out Jimmy Kimmel for his behavior during the 2009 interview.

As the audience laughs, Kimmel responds: “Perfectly wholesome,” with Fox explaining: “At 15, I was in 10th grade. That’s kind of a microcosm of how Bay’s mind works.”

Kimmel said: “Yeah, well that’s really a microcosm of how all our minds work.

“Some of us have the decency to repress those thoughts and pretend that they don’t exist.”

Twitter users were irritated with Kimmel’s reaction to Fox sharing her experience with being s*xualized as a minor. Several users demanded an apology from the late-night host.

“Teen girls being preyed on by older men has never been taken seriously and still isn’t,” wrote one user.

“The way Hollywood and the media treated Megan Fox in general was deeply disgusting.”

“She’s so clearly visibly upset by Kimmel’s reaction but can’t say anything to his awful joke,” another tweeted.

After her appearance in Bad Boys II, Fox worked with Bay on two of the Transformers movies.
