Megan Fox has faced some criticism after she dressed up as Gogo Yubari from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and ignored the Halloween guidelines set by SAG-AFTRA

Hollywood actress Megan Fox has been slammed by fans after she purposely ignored the guidelines set by SAG-AFTRA with her Halloween costume.

The star dressed up in a Kill Bill-inspired outfit which defied the guidelines that were set by the union. The union stated that actors and actresses weren’t to dress up as popular characters from struck work, including popular movies and shows, and posting photos on social media.

Megan looked sensational in the outfit as she posed in a black suit with a red bow tie and had red blood dripping from her eyes. She was channelling the character of Gogo Yubari from the Quentin Tarantino classic movie.

Followers were not impressed with the Jennifiers Body star defying the union rules and took to the comments section to criticise Megan. One person wrote: “Yes girl give it to your union trying to get better wages and benefits for lesser-known people than u!”

Another penned: “Not a good look to publicly defy the union that is fighting to protect you, at an imperative time when they are actively calling on members to share messages of support and strength on socials.” And a third agreed: “Why is she being defiant to a group that’s literally fighting for her to make a fair wage.”

A fourth wrote: “Isn’t this group you’re rebelling against trying to HELP you…?” While a fifth commented: “Now I understand why I haven’t seen you once on the @SAGAFTRA picket line #sad.”

It seems as if Megan is not the only celebrity who has made a joke out of the union rules. Comedian Sarah Sherman mocked them whilst she was on an episode of Saturday Night Live.

The comedian Joked about how children could switch up their costumes to be acceptable to the union rules. She joked that children who dress up like Barbie and Spider-Man are “a bunch of adorable scabs.”

The guidelines were issued due to the ongoing actors’ strikes that have been taking place since July 14. People in support of the strike are calling for actors to be treated fairly.

They are demanding that they are paid liveable wages, long-term pay, consistency of employment, and control over the use of artificial intelligence, among other concerns in the entertainment industry.
