Russell Westbrook moved up on the NBA’s all-time games played list.
On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers are facing off against the Boston Celtics in Massachusetts.
Russell Westbrook is playing in his 1,138th career game, which ties Danny Schayes for 64th on the NBA’s all-time regular season games played list.
Following Schayes, the next player for Westbrook to pass will be Michael Cage (1,140).
Westbrook entered the evening with averages of 11.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field and 30.0% from the three-point range in 43 games.
The 2017 MVP is no longer a superstar, but he has been coming off the bench and become one of the best role players in the league.
Right now, the Clippers are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 29-14 record in their first 43 games.
They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 8-2 over their last ten games.
Most recently, the Clippers defeated RJ Barrett and the Toronto Raptors by a score of 127-107.
In 26 minutes of playing time, Westbrook had 20 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 7/14 from the field.
Following the Celtics, the Clippers will remain on the road to face off against Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday evening in Ohio.
In addition to the Clippers, Westbrook has also spent time with the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Lakers over his 16 seasons playing in the NBA.
