Charlize Theron has been a part of many blockbuster action flicks. Her commitment to action and charisma brings her along the lines of Keanu Reeves in terms of the action genre. But it looks like Theron always wants to push to her extreme limits to outshine the John Wick star. This was even the case during the filming of Fast X, according to director Louis Leterrier.

Charlize Theron rose to international fame after starring opposite Keanu Reeves in The Devil’s Advocate. Later, the duo was also spotted together in Sweet November. Both of them have made it big in the field of action but it is interesting to know that the once co-stars also share a healthy competition to overtake each other.
This was evident when Charlize Theron showed some insane skills while filming for Fast X. The director of the latest Fast & Furious movie, Louis Leterrier revealed that he found the Atomic Blonde on an insane level when he first visited the set of the Vin Diesel movie. Leterrier claimed that he had never seen any action star having so much dedication towards a scene.
“When I arrived on set, Charlize was shooting Cipher’s fight against her own men, and I was terrified. I was like, ‘I’ve done a few action movies, but I’ve never seen an actor give themselves fully to a scene like that.’ Oh my God, I literally had to talk to the second unit director and ask, ‘Are we doing too much? Are we pushing her?’ And he said, ‘No, it’s her.’”
Even after giving her utmost effort, the Monster actress couldn’t fully get what she wanted in the movie, jam-packed with characters and events. According to Leterrier, the actress wanted to do as much as possible which he couldn’t allow due to safety concerns. But on the other hand, the Oscar winner once commented that she wanted to win a real fight against Keanu Reeves, which proves her insane dedication.

Interestingly, the Sweet November co-stars once met each other doing action when they were training in the same airport hangar. While Charlize Theron was prepping up for Atomic Blonde which will soon receive its sequel, Reeves was busy getting ready for John Wick: Chapter 2.
Although they didn’t meet often during the process, some interactions were there and in an interview with Yahoo, Theron commented that she dreamt about winning an actual fight against Reeves.
“In my head, I think I totally won the fight that we had in my brain.”
Both the stars inspired each other to do better and the 47-year-old actress also used to have scenarios about how they would go against one another. The reports were also further corroborated by Sam Hargrave, who was the stunt coordinator of Atomic Blonde who said that the stars motivated each other to train harder.
Charlize Theron will be next seen in the sequel to one of her most popular movies The Old Guard, which is going to be released this year.
