LOVE Island has been a firm fave on our TV screens for nine years now and counting – but it hasn’t gone without its fair share of big blunders.
With singletons chasing connections around the Love Island villa and live dumpings each week, there is bound to be drama and hiccups happening left and right.

Some the team managed to hide from the cameras – but others awkwardly made it onto air, including accidental reveals thanks to timing confusion, host Maya Jama suffering an autocue fail, to furious contestants and fix claims.
The ITV2 reality show continues to deliver some brilliant bloopers even as the All-Stars season nears its conclusion – here are just some of the best known ones.
What was meant to be a nailbiting dumping decision during the Winter 2023 season was ruined early thanks to an editing error.
As the episode aired on Sunday night, a live ad for spin-off AfterSun saw Maya declare there would be ‘an interview with dumped islanders Will Young and Jessie Wynter’.
Which was awkward considering the scenes of them leaving hadn’t aired yet – and it was the final dumping ahead of that finale.
LIVE CHAOS

LAST year’s Love Island series saw Jess Harding and Sammy Root being crowned the 2023 Love Island UK winners.
However, that was the least wild thing that occurred as hostess Maya Jama admitted to fans that the Love Island final was “madness” backstage.
Taking to her Instagram story, she said: “Had my first live autocue going down situation and I am bloooody proud of the way I handled it (presenters will know how much of a madness that is).”
Fans were also left confused as the 29-year-old after the show suffered a second major technical slip-up just moments before Maya announced the winner.
TWIN MIX-UP

This Love Island: All Star series has been no different, as the show aired a very awkward blunder made by Love Island All Star Georgia Steel.
On the show the Islanders were tasked with guessing where they would rank in various categories as voted for by the public.
Jess Gale, who entered the villa with twin sister Eve, was called her sisters name by Georgia S despite the fact that Eve was dumped from the island last week.
This seems to be a common theme for the loyal babe – as she’s done it several times.
During Love Island Games in 2023, she called Cely Vazquez ‘Cally’, and during season nine, she appeared on AfterSun and kept calling contestant Shaq, ‘Zac’ despite being corrected by Maya.
Some fans expressed their opinion that Georgia S continues to make these mistakes on purpose.
With fans flooding comments on the Love island official Instagram page.
One user fumed “No end to Georgia S’s rudeness.”
Another added: “One thing Georgia S will always do is mess up someone’s name.”
FIX ROW

The season ten finale of Love Island was filled with many awkward moments and blunders.
Chaos ensued as the losing contestants looked furious with the fact that they hadn’t won.
It wasn’t just viewers that appeared to be upset with Sammy and Jess’s win, as many noticed how fellow contestants Tyrique and Zach looked disappointed by the result.
One Love Island fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Ty’s face… he wasn’t having any of it #LoveIsland”
Another commented: “Zach is fuming #loveIsland.”
There have even been many allegations and concerns that the whole season was fixed and therefore the result was given away by Maya’s announcement.
Maya told viewers that they were about to see a video of Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki’s best bits from their villa journey, but a video of Jess Harding and Sammy Root played instead.
Some viewers suggested that ITV must have had the tapes prepared in a certain order, claiming that fan favourites Whitney and Lochan were expected to win so producers played the wrong VT.
One said: “I still think getting the best bits wrong also meant they’ve got the votes wrong but they’ll never say.”
Another added: “Not ITV accidentally revealing the winner by playing the wrong VT. They were expecting Whitney to win then so had the VTs ready to go then realised the votes were too high…”
DOUBLE VISION

Mitch was the messiest lad in the villa last year – and even the Love Island editors couldn’t keep up with himCredit: Rex
Love Island viewers last season were convinced that there was an editing blunder involving contestant Mitchel Taylor.
Dubbed ‘Messy Mitch’ – even the Love Island editors couldn’t keep up with his head-spinning antics.
Fans tuning in to the ITV2 reality show saw something bizarre as the Islanders were waking up in the villa one day.
Scenes showed Mitch and partner Ella Barnes catching up as they discussed recent events.
As their conversation came to an end however, cameras cut back to the boys in the bedroom with Mitch still in there.
Fans questioned how Mitch could possibly be in bed after just having a chat with Ella outside on the beanbags.
The discrepancy caught the attention of viewers who questioned the editing, leading them to further suspicions over the romance and rows in the villa being staged – which the show has also vehemently denied.
EDITING ERRORS

Mitchel apparently being in two places at once is not the first time editing has been off with the show.
Fans were quick to notice a clip of Davide Sanclimenti being used more than once,
During the Winter 2023 season, Tanya Manhenga was seen heading to bed in a long black dress, only to be seen seconds later asking the girls if they’d “had a good night” while wearing a light blue denim jumpsuit.
Shortly before that, three boys mysteriously vanished while sitting around the fire pit with Claudia Fogarty, who had just entered the villa.
