Holly Willoughby visited Port Lympne Wildlife Park on Saturday and enjoyed a glass of champagne as she toasted her 43rd birthday in style.

The star was treated by her husband Dan Baldwin to a posh £1,650 a night stay at the lavish Lion lodge to celebrate her birthday.

The former host, who turned 43 on Saturday, spent the day at the 600-acre resort with her husband Dan and their three children.

During their stay, Holly was driven around the the resort in a 4×4 car with her family to see the tigers, giraffes, and cheetah’s on site before enjoying a relaxing overnight stay in one of the resorts posh lion cabins.

According to The Sun an onlooker said: ‘Holly looked like she was having a ball on her birthday and couldn’t stop smiling.

‘She stayed in one of Port Lympne’s two lodges which allows visitors to stay with the lions. It’s an incredible experience and is very luxurious.

‘They got to spend the day being driven around the safari park before settling down and enjoying last night together in a lodge as a family.’

They also mentioned that it has been a ‘tough few months’ for Holly and that it was ‘special’ for her to get to enjoy the day with her family.

However, Holly is not the only public figure that has enjoyed the resort as public figures including Cheryl Tweedy, Rio Ferdinand, and Boris Johnson have all previously stayed at the luxurious hotel and slept in the lions lodge.

The rooms at the resort boast log fires and enormous picture windows so that you can get up-close and watch the lions with their cubs.

The master bedroom also features a spiral staircase that leads up to a mezzanine room with some extra beds.

Included in the lions lodge is also a roomy terrace with a firepit and a private garden, while the bathroom features a huge window so you can look out onto the lion’s habitat.

Guests of the resort are also given access to a golf buggy so they can explore the enormous site that is located in Kent.

And it appears Holly will be making a comeback as Rylan Clark revealed the duo have teamed up for a secret project.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Rylan said: ‘All I can say is me and Holly have done something and you’ll find out what it is very soon!

She then faced a further setback as a man was arrested for an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her, leaving her terrified.

According to reports, she was too afraid to leave her house after Gavin Plumb was charged with the crime, forcing her off-air for months.

She deliberated over whether to present Dancing On Ice with new co-host Stephen Mulhern, finally deciding to return to work in the New Year.

But it could be the last UK show she presents before going to America with sources close to Holly saying it is the first time in her career she’s a ‘free agent’ and looking for new prospects.

A source told the Sun on Sunday that she is meeting with ‘US bigwigs’ including bosses at streaming platform Disney+.

They explained: ‘Holly’s a free agent and for the first time in years she’s free to be courted by these huge streaming platforms.

‘A number of US networks and production companies have been interested in her for a while and she’s caught the attention of some major brands.’
