Jennifer Lawrence is an Oscar-winning, A-list actress who has starred in several hit films. She has appeared in Silver Livings Playbook and The Hunger Games. Lawrence has earned her status as one of the most powerful women in Hollywood.
Lindsay Lohan is an actress who has struggled with addiction. In the past, her behavior has caused her to develop a bad reputation in Hollywood. Despite her best efforts, she hasn’t reached the status of Oscar-winners like Lawrence.
Lawrence and Lohan have seemingly traded digs at each other for several years. This appeared to date back ten years ago when Lawrence won a Golden Globe.
Lindsay Seemingly Took Jennifer’s Golden Globe Acceptance Speech Out Of Context
At the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, Lawrence had a lot of celebrating to do. She won the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. However, her celebratory moment would come to a screeching halt as soon as her acceptance speech ended.
During her speech, Lawrence said, “I beat Meryl!” Many people online believed this to be an unnecessary dig at Meryl Streep. This included Lohan, who sent out a tweet during the award show.

“no1 should ever mess with a legend, such as Meryl Streep,” Lohan posted, seemingly responding to Lawrence’s speech.
However, Lawrence herself explained that the quote wasn’t a dig at all. It was actually a quote from a film.
“It was a quote from First Wives’ Club,” Lawrence told David Letterman on his late night show. “Bette Midler was talking about a globe, I can’t believe nobody’s ever done it before. She said, ‘Look what it says: I Beat Meryl.’ It was so perfect, and I said it, and I had no idea Lindsay Lohan was going to take it to the Twitterverse — is that what it’s called? I’m not on Twitter. But Twitter is very upset.”
“Is that what that’s turned into, I don’t like Meryl Streep? As if I’ve had my eyes on getting that girl forever, and I was like, ‘Finally! I knew it would happen one day!'” she continued. “I wanted to make a public statement, like, ‘Hey idiots, it’s a quote from a movie, and it’s Meryl Streep.’”
Lindsay Reportedly Dissed Jennifer In An Interview And Said Her Quotes Were ‘Fabricated’
In April 2014, a controversy broke out over a supposed interview Lohan did with a magazine called Kode, formerly Annex Man. The interview in question contained a bunch of shocking revelations which made headlines following its release.
The interview was conducted by someone who only identified themselves as The Kurator. Among other things, Lohan allegedly revealed she was dating a man who was married with kids.
“Oh, this guy I’m seeing sent me a jet because he wants to see me,” she reportedly said. “But he’s married with kids.”

The most shocking and headline-grabbing portions of the interview, however, were Lohan’s alleged less-than-kind remarks about other celebrities.
“She’s taught me so much and really believes in me,” Lohan allegedly said, referring to Oprah Winfrey. “Nothing like Barbara Walters.”
Lohan also reportedly took a swipe at Lawrence, allegedly saying, “She’s so fake and I’m sorry, I’m not going to f*** for roles.”
The interviewer said Lohan was taking “a sip from her freshly topped off glass of vodka on the rocks,” adding, “From this moment, all questions of sobriety seem irrelevant.”
Following the interview’s release, Lohan’s team claimed the quotes were completely made up.
“Lindsay never spoke to any journalist at Kode. The interview was completed via email,” her rep said in a statement to E! News. “We have no comprehension on why a journalist would fabricate this content and distribute it in such an irresponsible way.”
Kode‘s editor-in-chief Allan Troy Watson responded to the claim, saying not only was the interview real, but there were witnesses.
“I have sworn testimonies that it took place that back up everything,” Watson said.
Jennifer Joked About Lindsay In An Interview And The Lohan Family Responded

In 2015, Lawrence appeared on Stephen Colbert’s late night show and spoke about working herself too hard.
“I’m a puker,” she began. “I don’t stop working because I am a show pony. I don’t have a choice. So I just keep going until my body is like, ‘If we don’t make her barf or pass out, she won’t stop.’ I get like, Lindsay Lohan-grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol. I’m always in bed early. I’m still tired.”
This didn’t sit too well with Lohan’s family, particularly her sister Aliana, who tweeted, “I never breathe life into negativity but I stand by my family. Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan.”
Lohan herself responded to her sister’s tweet, writing, “Thank you sister. Maybe who you’re referring to should learn to support others like #mayaangelou.”
Lohan then tweeted a picture of Angelou’s quote, “You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I’ll rise.”
Lohan’s mother Dina, even responded to Lawrence’s comment.
“We love Jennifer Lawrence, we have always been fans of hers,” Dina said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. “It was all unfortunate that she used Lindsay as a reference of not showing up to set, and that whole bit. It was disappointing that she didn’t have her peers’ back. You shouldn’t trash anyone, it was just surprising. My family sticks together.”
