NBA STAR VICTOR WEMBANYAMA IN MAJOR NEW CAREER VENTURE AS HE SIGNS TOP DEAL DURING PROMISING ROOKIE SEASON

NBA star rookie Victor Wembanyama has taken the basketball world by storm, and now he’s trying to conquer a new career venture with a highly renowned brand.

The 20-year-old San Antonio Spurs left fans in awe after revealing a new sponsorship with Louis Vitton on Tuesday.

The notable French luxury brand released a statement announcing they have signed Wembanyama as their newest ambassador.

“Striving for excellence and with a perpetual honing of craft, Victor joins Louis Vuitton on a journey of shared values and aligned ambitions.

“Like Louis Vuitton himself, the young athlete has blazed a trail, excelling in a career that is only just beginning,’ the brand said in a press release.

Wembanyama grew up in France and played two seasons for the Paris-based Metropolitans 92 before being drafted No.1 overall by the Spurs in the 2023 NBA draft.

In an interview with GQ, the NBA star expressed that this decision was made because he felt it was with the “best partner” for him.

“To me, it’s the best. It’s the best partner I can think of.

“I wanted a meaningful partnership. To me, it made a lot of sense to partner with LV—you know, French excellence.

“The expertise is something that I feel very much attracted to. I mean, back in the day, I couldn’t even imagine partnering with LV one day.

“It would’ve been crazy. I don’t even know about other countries, but in France it’s huge.

“It’s the biggest brand for young people,” Wembanyama stated.

He also highlighted that he did not want to recreate LeBron James’s “baggy” suit that the basketball icon wore during the 2003 NBA draft and that he worked with Louis Vitton ahead of the 2023 draft.

“Over the years there’s been plenty of different styles and some that are really, really outdated now in the league.

“I mean, I remember LeBron’s draft suit was so baggy. It was cool back then, but now it is just funny,” Wembanyama said before talking about his own draft suit.

“I think it was well worth it because it’s definitely the best suit of this year’s draft, and also the past years, in my opinion.

“It was just beautiful. And now it’s all coming together.”

Wembanyama is off to a hot start in his rookie season, averaging 20.5 points, ten rebounds, and 3.2 blocks on the season as the Spurs have the worst record in the Western Conference at 11-44.
