In a recent interview, Michael Jackson’s son, Prince, revealed how he feels about the K-pop boyband, ‘BTS’, following his dad’s legacy in their albums and paying homage to him.

The American singer and performer left behind a legacy that is still legendary even after 24 years of his death. In an interview, Michael Jackson’s son, Prince Jackson, spoke about how he feels about South Korean Boyband, BTS being heavily influenced by his father’s legacy and incorporating many of his signature moves in their albums.

Bangtan Boys, aka BTS, is the leading K-pop boy group, taking the world by storm with their music. Be it as a group or as individuals, the boys are doing exceptionally well professionally. If you are an ardent follower of the band, you will notice that the legacy of Michael Jackson heavily influences them, be it their music or dance steps.

Prince Michael Jackson was recently interviewed about his charitable HEAL LOS ANGELES FOUNDATION with Liam McEwan. The host pointed out how BTS is heavily influenced by Michael Jackson and incorporates the legend’s several attributes in their performances. Liam McEwan added:

“Obviously, they’ve taken huge influence from your dad like “Dynamite”, the choreography was very MJ influenced and one of their latest songs ‘Butter’ starts with ‘smooth like butter, like a criminal undercover. Already getting that ‘Smooth Criminal’ reference in there. kinda tributing your dad in such a nice way but doing it in their own kind of way, it must make you thrilled? ”

Prince acknowledged the fact that he follows all of BTS’ creative endeavours, and it felt good that the boys are taking forward his father’s legacy. As a son, he feels proud and happy that the boys are carrying forward his father’s legacy and paying homage to him. Prince added that BTS adds a modern touch to his dad’s creativity, and it’s entertaining to watch. Prince further added:
“It’s very interesting to see them, and when I see that level of influence, being influenced by my father, it’s really cool for them to show that kind of. The way they pay respect and homage to my father’s honour and legacy. It’s really gratifying and really heartwarming to see that they have that much love and respect for him. And also, it’s super cool to see that my father was a trendsetter and that you can see that how they’re kinda continuing those trends but also adapting them to the modern era and then doing it their own way. It’s really cool just to continue that creative flow.”

Prince Michael Jackson complimented the BTS boys for being supremely talented

As the conversation flew forward, Liam praised the boys for being extremely talented in terms of their music and performance, to which Prince heartily agreed and added that BTS are currently the greatest band of recent times. Praising BTS for their talent, Liam said:

“It’s really cool, especially when the dudes are so damn talented.”
