Lindsay Lohan is in a much better place these days alongside her mysterious boyfriend, however, that wasn’t always the case. Lohan loved the party life and the glamour that came with it. Though as we’ll find out, the glamour part of her hotel stay wasn’t picked up by the film, and little did Lohan know, she collected an insane amount of debt.

We’ll take a look back at how it all played out between Lohan and Château Marmont. The GM of the hotel would issue a statement, claiming that Lohan was removed from the hotel given her insane bill over a period of less than two months time.

Lindsay Lohan Didn’t Have The Greatest History At Château Marmont

Playing the role of Elizabeth Taylor, Lohan was filming Liz & Dick at the time, a TV movie which didn’t gather the greatest reviews. While shooting the film, Lohan stayed at one of her favorite LA hotels, Château Marmont.

Staying at the hotel wasn’t anything new for Lohan, who had a history at the location. However, her history wasn’t always the best, as according to EW, she was spotted at the hotel partying, while getting into a shouting match with Avril Lavigne.

The publication recalls, “In the spring of 2010, she got into a shouting match there with singer Avril Lavigne that ended when Lohan, rebuffed by security guards in her pleas to get Lavigne ejected, stormed out of the place.”

The hotel had enough during her following stay. In less than two months, Lohan obtained a crazy amount of debt. The hotel gave Lohan no choice but to either pay the bill, or leave.

Hotel GM Philip Pavel told Lohan, “I regret to inform you,” he wrote, “that we will no longer be able to extend any further credit for you to remain in the hotel.”

Lindsay Lohan Thought The Producers On The Film Liz & Dick Would Be Paying For Her Hotel Bill

Lohan was paid $300,000 for her gig in Liz & Dick while staying at the hotel. Lohan pleaded innocent, stating that she was under the impression that the bill would be paid by the producers on the TV movie.

Nonetheless, the hotel was none too pleased with the information leaking out to TMZ, along with the hotel GM also issuing a public statement. They tried to backtrack, in a way that wouldn’t discourage celebs from staying there.

The statement would read, “Château Marmont places guest privacy as a core value and upholds this privacy with paramount importance.”

“After investigation, it appears that a private correspondence between Château Marmont’s general manager and Miss Lohan was leaked by a member of her entourage. We are as horrified, disappointed and troubled by this occurrence as Miss Lohan surely is.”

As for Lohan’s team, they wanted to put the issue behind them as quickly as possible, refusing to make any type of statement pertaining to the matter.

“We are not commenting on anything to do with Château Marmont,” Lohan’s team wrote.

Lindsay Lohan’s Bill Got To $46,350.04 In Less Than Two Months

In 57 days, Lohan spent an absurd amount of money. EW was able to give a full breakdown, as it would top $46,000.

Among the purchases, according to the statement includes, “$3,000-plus each on room service, hotel restaurant bills, and minibar charges, in addition to more than $700 on cigarettes, $600-plus on laundry, nearly $400 on pay-per-view movies, and more than $100 on magazines and iPhone chargers from the hotel gift shop—plus, the room rate and the taxes and the parking charges and other miscellaneous fees.”

In order to smooth things over, hotel owner André Balazs stepped in. He made the claim that the debt was settled, while Lohan’s ban would also be lifted, as she returned to the hotel alongside her mother.

In a likelihood, this was done so that celebs wouldn’t avoid the hotel, given that they leaked out Lohan’s personal information and purchases.
