A Mean Girls reunion seems to be imminent.
Famous for their legendary performances as Cady Heron, Karen Smith, and Gretchen Wieners, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert got together for what seems to be a Pepsi commercial, according to TMZ. Rachel McAdams, who played the strong Regina George, was conspicuously absent.
The group seemed happy in pictures that the outet was able to collect during their October 6 performance in Los Angeles. Lindsay was seen with a purse that said “Plastic Clubs Member, Est. 2004,” referencing their iconic group from the 2004 movie. The group’s well-known credo, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink,” was also printed on the bag. In the meanwhile, Amanda and Lacey posed for pictures on a football field and in a convertible.
Given how close to the big game this reunion is, there is speculation that it may be a part of a Super Bowl commercial. If verified, this would not be the first time Pepsi has used Mean Girls nostalgia to promote itself. Lohan recreated her character’s “Jingle Bell Rock” appearance in December 2022 in order to sell “Pilk,” a peculiar concoction of milk and Pepsi.
