“There are days when I hate the NBA,” Kevin Durant shared about life in the NBA, which seems easy but is full of difficulties and challenges.
From the moment Kevin Durant fell due to a ruptured Achilles tendon at Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals and 2 months after he decided to sign a 4-year, $164 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets.
While the All-Star striker was excited about his new life in Brooklyn, Durant also shared his disappointment about what he had to go through on the sidelines, in the media and in the league in an interview. exclusively with the Wall Street Journal.

“There are days when I hate the NBA,” Kevin Durant shared with WSJ.
One of the reasons for Durant’s strange feelings is psychological. As Kevin Durant’s final season with the Golden State Warriors comes to a close and transfer rumors begin to surface, people are starting to look at how Kevin feels and thinks about his time at The Bay.
Even when Durant landed with the Brooklyn Nets, many people still grumbled about his time at the Warriors.
“Everyone is like ‘is he happy?’ I think now what do people mean by asking that?”, Kevin Durant said. “That’s what has appeared throughout the past year: So is KD happy where he is playing?”.

However, rumors about Kevin Durant’s psychology or emotions are not the only things that affect him. The other reason lies in things outside the field, beyond basketball expertise in the NBA.
“There are days when I hate the NBA with a passion. I hate that players let the business nature of the NBA or the fame that comes with it influence their thoughts about basketball. Sometimes I don’t like being around the world.” Team leadership and everything that goes with it. I hate them.”
Even so, the 10-time All-Star is still watching in the opportunity he has. He may hate some aspects of the NBA, but the league is giving Kevin Durant a lot of other things.
“Without basketball, I probably wouldn’t be able to do as many things on this earth as I can now.”
