After much information and comments from outside, insider Kevin Durant finally decided to speak up about the breakdown at the Brooklyn Nets.

Just three months ago, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving led the Brooklyn Nets to a series of 18 victories in 20 matches. Any opponent would have to be afraid of meeting the home team at Barclays Center, then still at the top of the Eastern rankings.

Fast forward to now, Kevin Durant is about to have his first match with the Phoenix Suns, and Kyrie has appeared 7 times with the Dallas Mavericks. The breakdown of the Brooklyn Nets in this incredibly quick time still brings up too many question marks.

After much information and comments from outside, now an insider has decided to speak up, that is Kevin Durant.

“Everything can be divided into two. Certainly I was disappointed because I couldn’t fulfill my plans there (Brooklyn Nets – PV), ending the season by having to leave.

However, I also clearly understand that we are separate individuals within a group. We will act and do what is best for our own careers.

I can’t blame anyone for their actions, even though the result almost broke the team, but it was Kyrie’s decision and what he wanted to do. I can’t question or have a problem with that.”

“I definitely feel sad and I can’t pretend that I have no regrets about this season because I really wanted to play with Kyrie, wanted to finish the season and see where things would go because there was a time when we both played with very high class and performance.

For me, it’s the only thing that keeps me thinking. I want to play basketball and compete at the highest level and not pay attention to the sidelines.

Whether Kyrie negotiates a contract extension or has anything going on with the team’s upper management is not something I care about. I don’t even think about them.

Whatever happens, the decision is Kyrie’s. I believe he will make the right moves to ensure the rights for himself and Kyrie’s family.

We haven’t actually sat down together since we both left, but we’ll definitely talk.”

Whenever mentioning Kyrie Irving, Durant always speaks few words. He repeatedly affirmed that despite their extremely close relationship, the two never influenced each other to make any decisions, especially regarding their future in the NBA.

As for Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets stars “disbanding” is the obvious outcome after James Harden and Kyrie, respectively, left the team.

Durant himself, when given the opportunity, also changed his shirt color to pursue the third championship ring in his career. The All-Star striker said he felt “fine” with his decision.
