Famous American MC gives a TV to a teacher every year

Once thought by his teacher that his dream of appearing on television was unrealistic, Steve Harvey proved the opposite.

Steve Harvey – famous American comedian, writer, and television host – had a serious stuttering problem when he was a child. In 6th grade, his teacher assigned an assignment, asking each person to tell them their dream career in the future. Harvey wrote he wanted to appear on television, according to Huffington Post on September 8.

When collecting the lessons, the teacher thought this dream was silly, especially for a boy who couldn’t talk fluently like other people. Thinking Harvey wasn’t taking his homework seriously, the teacher called him to the board and tore up his homework in front of the whole class. Afterwards, she called Harvey’s parents, saying that their son was “a guy who thinks he’s smarter than everyone else.”

Returning home, Harvey thought he would be punished. However, only his mother seemed sad, but his father did not. “Put that assignment in a drawer. Every morning when you wake up, read it. Every night before going to bed, read it,” the father advised his son.

“What he told me is a principle of success. When you write down and imagine, the things you visualize in your mind, you will firmly grasp in your hands,” Harvey shared.

Years later, after being successful in the entertainment industry, Harvey still thinks about his teacher in 6th grade. “Every year, I send my teacher a TV for Christmas. I want her to see it.” me,” the famous MC said.

Harvey also keeps his writing assignments with him, when he attends comedy clubs, and when he experiences ups and downs in his career to remind himself to try harder.

“The boy who stuttered is appearing on TV seven days a week,” Harvey said emotionally.
