The Golden State Warriors are smiling again and they do it, of course, thanks to Stephen Curry who led his team to win against the Orlando Magic, 121-115, cutting a streak of three consecutive losses.
The game against the Magic is the third in a series of seven consecutive games that the Warriors will play on their home court.
Curry was key in the game on several plays, most notably a four-minute stretch in the fourth period in which he scored 13 consecutive points.
Don Steph finished with 36 points in what is his best scoring output since the 37 he scored against the Nets last December 12.
For the Warriors, in addition to Curry‘s superb performance that digs them out of the hole, Jonathan Kuminga contributed 19 points and Klay Thompson scored 15. For the Magic, Paolo Banchero signed 27 points and 12 rebounds while Franz Wagner contributed another 25 points.
The Florida side has lost its first two games of a four-game road trip.
The Warriors are 9-9 without Draymond Green since the center was suspended by the team for his assault on Nurkic.
Steve Kerr said before the game that they are following Green‘s progress but the player was not yet training with the team and there is no date for his return.
“We’re giving him his space and he’s not giving ours,” the coach said.
