Former Corrie actress Helen Flanagan is back on the dating scene after splitting from ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, and is reportedly romantically involved with I’m A Celeb co-star David Haye

Helen Flanagan has reportedly been on several dates with former boxing champ David Haye – while he is still in a relationship with long-term girlfriend, model Sian Osborne.

The former Coronation Street actress, 33, split from her ex-fiancé, footballer Scott Sinclair – now Bristol Rovers winger – last year after 13 years together. The couple, who share three children, are not currently on talking terms but Helen continues to wear her engagement ring.

The ex-soap star has been back on the dating scene recently, having joined celebrity dating app Raya and shared candid admissions about her failed flings. Now, it’s been revealed Helen is romantically involved with her I’m A Celebrity campmate David and they’re having “a lot of fun together”.

The actress was just 19 years old when she and Scott became an item in 2009. The showbiz couple got engaged in May 2018, but in October 2022, they announced they had decided to go their separate ways. The pair share three children, daughters Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and their son Charlie, two.

Helen, who underwent a boob job earlier this year, has returned to dating after spending her twenties in a long-term relationship. In February 2023, it was reported that Helen had joined the celeb dating app Raya. At the time, a source told The Sun: “Helen has been feeling more and more positive about the future since the new year and feels ready to enjoy some nice dates and male company. She’s feeling super-confident since her boob job and just thought why not?” They added: “Dating doesn’t have to be serious – it’s not about finding a rebound relationship.”

The former reality star shared that she still wears her engagement ring, but on her right hand rather than on her wedding finger as it symbolises ‘her journey’. Helen said on Instagram in August: “I still wear my engagement ring and Nana’s wedding ring because I love it. I wear it on the other hand. It’s part of my journey – also it took him [Scott] bloody long enough to put it on my finger. Typical Scott!” Helen added: “I remember being like ‘when is he going to propose?’ I remember I was an absolute psycho about it. I was like ‘This is our second child, where’s my ring?’ Honestly, so yes, I’m not taking it off my finger.”

Last month, she opened up about life as a single woman and dished some details about her flings. The former Corrie star admitted to being ghosted by one potential love interest, having a one-night stand and experiencing one possible suitor ruining her mental health. Helen posted a light-hearted video on TikTok introducing “the men of 2023” to her followers, including screenshots of how she saved her dates’ numbers in her contacts list.

Some of the cheeky nicknames included: “Too obsessed with their dog, ruined my mental health. My ghoster. Dead chat. Complicated X. Dead chat 2. My One Night Stand.” She captioned the candid update: “After 13 years of being wifed off, I’ve spent this year trying to find myself and start dating again. Let’s just say it’s been an experience… In conclusion we’re hoping for a better 2024.”

In November, Helen also revealed she had ‘love’ for her ex-fiancé, 16 months on from their acrimonious split. She told the Sun: “I love Scott and I know that he loves me, but I suppose we just don’t like each other very much at the moment. We don’t really speak and there’s no point in pretending that we’re the best of friends when we’re not. What we had was really special, and because of that, the emotion between us is just too raw.”

The star explained that she feels thankful she gets on well with Scott’s mum and he also speaks to her parents. Discussing what led to their break-up, she said it would be impossible to pinpoint anything specific, but admitted she “struggled” with her mental health following the birth of Charlie in 2021, which put a “strain” on the relationship at times. She added they “weren’t really together that much” and there were a lot of factors that led to the end of their relationship.

This week, it was revealed Helen had been on a series of dates with polyamorous David Haye, while he is still happily in a relationship with long-term model girlfriend Sian Osborne. The former boxing champ hit the headlines earlier this year when he and Sian began a ‘throuple’ with Saturdays singer Una Healy, 42. But the three-way relationship broke down in February.

David and Helen have now ‘reconnected’ after appearing together in the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2012. The pair were photographed together with Sian at a Heineken after-party following a boxing event at the Ovo Arena, Wembley, in May. Onlookers described the trio as being ‘flirty’. Sian is understood to be fully aware of the pair’s dates.

A source close to the former Corrie star said: “Helen reconnected with David earlier this year. They got on like a house on fire and have been messaging a lot since. Helen and Sian have also met and hit it off straight away. Helen’s a very open-minded person and all three got on well. Helen has had some difficult dating experiences since becoming single but is really enjoying David’s company.”

The source added: “Helen and David got on well in the jungle, and so have seen each other a fair bit over the years. But recently they seem to have really clicked and had that chemistry. They’re having a lot of fun together.” Representatives for Helen and David did not respond to requests for comment.
