The Joy star wore a sparkling diamond choker and eye-catching gown with side cut-outs and a bare back as she strolled down the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday.

The 25-year-old defeated BFF Amy Schumer to win Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy for her starring role in Joy.

The Hunger Games star chatted with singer Katy Perry, who gushed about Joy and then admitted she was wearing a ‘bump-it’ under her wig to create volume.

The down to earth Joy actress then reached out and patted Katy on the head to double-check. ‘Yes, you do!’ she laughed.

‘I just thought it was really exciting when he called me,’ Jennifer told E! News host Ryan Seacrest of director David O Russell, who joined her on the red carpet.

‘This woman has been in in our lives almost unnoticed in a big mainstream way, and I just thought it was a really interesting story to tell, this women doing these amazing inventions.’

Director David added that he thought it was Jennifer’s most ‘mature’ work so far.

‘It was almost like a woman’s verison of The Fighter, which I made 4 years ago,’ he explained.

Jennifer faced off against friend Amy Schumer, who was nominated for Trainwreck in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy category.

‘She’s going to have to wear Dior. I’m just going to have to have Dior make two of whatever they’re making for me,’ she joked to E! News.
