Lil Wayne & Drake’s ‘B.B. King Freestyle’ Released on Streaming Services

Throughout the majority of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, Lil Wayne stayed silent, but over the weekend, it seemed as though he broke his silence and backed the 6 God.

On Saturday night, July 13, Wayne changed the words to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ during his performance at Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas. He also momentarily displayed his OVO owl pendant chain.

Wayne can be heard jumping on stage and rapping to the T-Minus instrumental, “They don’t like us.” Some in the audience became perplexed by it, believing he was saying, “They don’t like us” from the hook of Kendrick’s number 1 hit ‘Not Like Us‘.

Lil Wayne was name-dropped on ‘Not Like Us’ when Kendrick raps, “F—-d on Wayne girl while he was in jail, that’s connivin’/ Then get his face tatted like a b—h apologizing.”

The song seems to be referring to the time when Drake is said to have gotten romantically involved with Wayne’s ex-girlfriend Tammy Torres as Weezy was incarcerated in New York City on gun charges. The New Orleans rapper talked about the suspected liaison in his journal, Gone’ Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island Prison. “I woke up still feeling f–ked up about the f–ked-up day that I had. Hell is what it was! I’m used to arguing with my girl [daily], but finding out that she f–ked Drake was the absolute worst thing I could’ve found out,” he wrote.

‘Not Like Us returned to the No. 1 slot on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to a boost from the release of the official music video.
