The song’s video dropped on July 4 The fiery rap track moved quickly to the top after its premiere. With a West Coast-inspired music video, the song has been on everyone’s mind in the US as the rapper performed it around six times at his concert in Los Angeles. The concert was called The Pop Out in which a team of musicians including Dr. Dre, YG, Tyler the Creator, Schoolboy Q and more showed up to support the cause.

Notably, the song is a result of beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The two have been feuding for some time now. The song “Not Like Us” debuted at number 1 in May for a week. It then moved to lower positions but remained in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After staying on the Top 10 chart for eight weeks, the song is at number 1 again. With this, Kendrick Lamar has earned his first multi-week Hot 100.
