Haliey Welch has disclosed the advice she received from Shaquille O’Neal when she met up with the former NBA superstar in Nashville late last month.

Haliey, the “Hawk Tuah” girl, spent some time with Shaq after he reached out to her while in her city. The TNT basketball analyst was there for a DJ gig and had his people contact the 23-year-old after he saw her on stage with Zach Bryan the previous night.

The two partied together, with Shaq inviting Hailey into the DJ booth, even stepping on her foot at one point. But it wasn’t just fun and games for the two, as Haliey revealed, telling Rolling Stone the former center gave her some meaningful advice.

TMZ previously reported that The Diesel had told Haliey to get a management team because people would try to take advantage of her.

She told Rolling Stone he also advised her to stop reading online comments.

“She’s also been subjected to various displays of vitriol online and only recently — at the advice of Shaq — stopped reading the comments, some of which skew political,” the outlet noted after sitting down with Welch this week. “One user referred to her as a “Trumptard.” “I don’t even know what that means,” she says.”

Hailey Welch Explains Her Donald Trump Comments

Hailey Welch had previously rejected the idea of hanging out with Donald Trump, leading people to believe she was leaning the other way politically.

However, she insisted it had nothing to do with that and was making reference to Trump’s looks.

“And I was talking about looks-wise. Donald Trump, I’m sure you’re a nice man, but you ain’t getting the hawk from me,” she declared. “He’s old enough to be my granddaddy.”
