According to sources from New York Post, Time is currently narrowing down the list of candidates for this prestigious title. Other notable figures being considered include newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, and Princess Kate Middleton. The award is presented to an individual, group, or movement that has had a significant impact on the world, whether positive or negative.
This year, the winner will receive the award from Taylor Swift, who was honored as Person of the Year 2023 by Time.
In the current shortlist, Princess Kate Middleton is being touted as a potential Person of the Year due to her substantial contributions related to privacy and health issues for public figures. In January, she underwent abdominal surgery, a procedure closely monitored by medical professionals and experts. Then, in March, the Princess of Wales made a shocking announcement that she had been diagnosed with cancer and would need to step away from the public eye for a time to focus on her treatment.
However, just three months later, the 42-year-old Princess made her return to royal duties. By September, she declared that she had completed her chemotherapy and was officially in remission. “I never thought this year would turn out the way it did. It was all unexpected. But I think many people this year have had their own challenging moments,” the Princess shared.
