Lady Diana’s Former Butler Claims Princess Diana’s Ghost Helped Him Find His Husband

Princess Diana died in 1997, a decade before the butler met his husband

Aformer butler for the Royal Family claims the ghost of Princess Diana helped him find his husband as Paul Burrell happened across Graham Cooper by pure chance in the United Kingdom in 2007.

Diana had been dead for a decade at that point after a fatal car accident in France saw the former Princess of Wales perish in a tunnel after being pursued by paparazzi, starting one of the world’s most popular conspiracy theories.

But Burrell has a theory of his own, as he believes the wife of King Charles III helped him find his partner, who is a corporate lawyer, whilst he was on a train from London Euston to Crewe when they smiled at each other.

“On that train, down the other end of the carriage, was a man who smiled at me,” Burrell told What If. “That’s all. I just looked down the aisle, and he smiled, and I thought, ‘Oh, what just happened then? Something happened’.

“So I didn’t speak to him the whole journey, it’s an hour and a half to Crewe, he started to get off at Crewe – got his briefcase down and a coat, and I thought, ‘Oh wow, what if he gets off the train and it’s sliding doors and I’ll never see him again in my life?’

“I think she sent him. Yes. To take care of me.”

Diana supported Burrell

Despite being married to Maria Cosgrove at the time and even becoming a father, the butler had not publicly come out as gay and had no reason to think Princess Diana ever actually knew about his true sexual orientation for good.

However, he does believe that she had a suspicion that he could swing that way based on how he used to contribute to her sense of fashion and items such as arranging floristry, believing there was an “understanding” that kept them safe.

“I did fabulous flower arrangements,” Burrell added. “I chose the right dress for the right occasion, I knew which jewels and shoes, heels or no heels, stockings or no stockings, come on.

“We had an understanding, and so I was safe, and she was safe. So it didn’t matter in our world.”

Burrell later divorced Cosgrove in 2016 and went on to marry Cooper, and believes the death of Diana caused the “world” with his ex-wife to “fall apart” as “truths” came to surface.
