It is fair to say that Patrick is a lot more focused on how he can continue improving on the field, rather than what fans think about his relationship with Brittany.
The Chiefs‘ receivers lead the league in drops this season, but Mahomes took accountability for a recent play, acknowledging that he could have placed the ball closer to Valdes-Scantling.
“We just didn’t come away with the ball,” Mahomes told the post-game press conference.
“I could probably throw the ball a little bit shorter. He was that wide open. You just gotta continue to try and get better and better.”
“They know I’m going to keep firing it,” Mahomes said.
