Three-time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray is recognized as one of the modern greats in the sport. With the growing age, the Brit is slowing down and sooner or later will surely bid the sport goodbye. But despite his struggles with form and consistency, Murray has been trying hard to keep on going as his hunt for another last title continues.

At the Qatar Open, which is ongoing currently in Doha, Murray was adjudged to face youngster Jakub Mensik in the second round. After a commanding win against Alexandre Muller in the first round, everyone believed the Brit to have it easy against the 18-year-old Jakub Mensik in the second round as well. But Murray ended up losing the match 6-7, 7-6, 6-7 in what was a three-set thriller.

While the match was nicely poised, with both players winning a set each with all to play for in the third set, a very strange occurrence took place. Murray ended up losing a point as his return hit the top of the net and came back into his own court. In frustration, the Brit was seen mouthing in frustration,

Murray’s last few performances have been absolutely disgraceful considering his standards. This new year has been quite disappointing for him until this point as he has failed to make it past the first round mark. Be it the Brisbane International, the Australian Open, the Open Sud De France, or the Open 13 tournament, Murray got knocked out right in the opening round raising concerns over his retirement.
