I found more expensive than me.Tweeted Mouratoglou on X.
This comment by the Frenchman instantly went viral, with fans taking a sarcastic jibe at him and the recent allegations made against his academy.
Those supplements are not cheap”Tweeted a fan, who directly took a dig at Mouratoglou.
For context, the coach had allegations against him for supplying supplements. After Mouratoglou agreed to unknowingly provide his former player Simona Halep with a supplement that got her banned from tennis, his former student from the academy revealed some interesting news involving the supplements.
18-year-old Maria Sara Popa recently claimed in an interview with AS.ro that the players who train at the academy are provided with some substances to consume in their junior years after signing a consent form and agreeing to certain regulations.
I went when I was 12 years old. I played at the Mouratoglou Academy. It is true, from a young age, athletes are given some substances. In juniors, you are not controlled by Anti-doping. They let you grow up a little more, to turn 17, and from then on, the checks start more intensively. Players and parents must agree. They are given a sheet and must sign to agree to take that substance. The first time I was scared, I really didn't know what was happeningSaid the 18-year old tennis star in an interview.
